IYDC has always and will always prioritize accessibility. We believe that no one should be turned away from the practice of yoga. We also recognize that cost of living is increasing and the cost of running a business is going up. This raises some challenging questions about what it means to be an anti-capitalist, yoga cooperative trying to sustain ourselves in this current economic structure. As a group, we've been sitting with this question for some time. This year, for the first time in several years, we will be raising our class prices. A majority of class passes will go up by $10 on both Patreon and Punchpass starting February 1st. This gives everyone a couple of weeks to take a look at our new price list and edit their Patreon pass as needed before February 1st. Our hope is that this increase in contribution from our community will help us cover increased rent and utility costs, offer our teachers a more equitable compensation for their work and continue to sustain our efforts in increasing access through our BIPOC apprenticeship program, community partnerships and community gift class pass options. We will continue to have a community gift option for anyone who cannot afford our standard rates.
